Origin Systems
An origin system (or origin application) is a system that hosts a software application written in DBL, including the file-based database where the application stores its data. This database uses the Synergy Data Management System (SDMS) on Windows and Linux or Record Management Services (RMS) on OpenVMS IA64.
The Streaming Integration Platform is not supported on origin systems running on traditional UNIX or OpenVMS Alpha systems because of dependencies on products or libraries that are not available on those platforms.
To be compatible with the Streaming Integration Platform, the original DBL application must be built using DBL version 12.3.1 or higher.

Linux Origin System Requirements

- The Linux platform must support the .NET 8 SDK (or higher).
OpenVMS Origin System Requirements
- Supported only in IA64 environments. Synergy does not support OpenVMS on VAX or X86, and the Integration Platform does not support OpenVMS on Alpha/AXP.
